Who we are

Bay Area Native Mye Yee is a community advocate and creative whose work is deeply rooted in local culture and purpose. After years behind the chair crafting style and confidence as a hairstylist, she expanded her impact beyond beauty and into education. Mye now works with school-aged students in Oakland schools as a licensed speech-language pathologist, supporting youth in building communication skills essential for academic success and future opportunities.

Through Hella Sick Collective, Mye merges art, identity, and social impact, creating California-rooted, art-forward pieces that reflect Bay Area pride while giving back. A portion of proceeds from each item sold is reinvested directly into the community, funding speech therapy resources for students, including college readiness tools and educational supports. Her work exists at the intersection of creativity and care, where self-expression becomes a vehicle for collective growth.
